Any necessary tooling will be produced in the same factory that ISN chooses to manufacture your product. This enables us to negotiate the lowest possible price. As part of our negotiations we arrange for factories to credit your account for the tooling charges after a minimum number of pieces have been purchased.
To produce tooling(s) all we need are CAD, Solid Works or Pro-Engineer drawings to start the process. When required, the factories can then offer CNC prototypes prior to actual tooling. These prototypes will be sent to you for approval. If the prototype is approved the tooling will be made. After the tooling is complete we will arrange for the factory to send several more pieces for approval prior to mass production. Usual tooling production time is 40-60 days.
ISN will prepare a formal tooling price quotation, which will include:
1. Tooling cost
2. Minimum product quantity to get tooling charges credited to your account
3. Estimated tooling production time
ISN will prepare a separate quote sheet for product unit costs and minimum order quantities.
